In this Episode I speak with Composer,Julian Lee! You have heard his music in trailers such as Deadpool 2,War for the Planet of the Apes, and The Black Panther to just name a few! Julian was such a pleasure to speak with. This guy is super talented,humble,and just genuinely a nice guy! It was so cool hearing him talk about how he got into music and also learning that he didnt even like music at first! It was great hearing about what first inspired him to get into specifically the trailer music industry. We talk about the process and challenges of making music for trailers and also the amazing community that is within the trailer music industry. It was so interesting learning about him as well and his story of being born in South Korea and then moving to South Africa. In this Episode I speak with Grammy Award Winner,Lisa Loeb! We talk about what it was like winning the Grammy award as well as whats important to her when collaborating with someone and also working with producer Rich Jacques. We also talk about about what inspires her as a songwriter and how she deals with writers block. This woman is seriously talented(Nikon called her a Rising Star in Photography!). In this Episode I get to speak with Puppeteering legend,Mike Quinn!! Mike was so unbelievably awesome to speak to and to hear all of his stories from his career thus far was so surreal. He speaks about how Puppeteeering came about for him and how his career came about working for Jim Henson as well as how his opportunity to play Nien Nunb,his character from Star Wars,came along for him also. It was so cool hearing stories from the set of Star Wars movies both old and new and just hearing all of his stories in general.
I will sadly say there are audio issues with this episode. I was so hesitant to post this but I could not scrap something that took so long to accomplish and plus the faact is I still got to speak with this amazing person. In this Episode I wanted to do another 'My Vero Peeps Series' and this time I got to speak with 5 more amazing people from Vero True Social! I cant tell you how thankful I am of each and every person that took the time to do this podcast. This was truely a task to get done in a matter of days especially speaking to people that are from all over the world but I believe it turned out awesome and it has so much to do with my amazing guests! We talk about how Vero came about for them and why they enjoy it so much and also find out some things about them along the way. In this Episode I decided to do something a little different. Im on the social app Vero True Social and absolutley love it! No Ads no Algorithms and just a GREAT community!! So I decided to message some amazing people that I follow on Vero and see if they would take a few miuntes to talk about how Vero came about for them,why they enjoy it,and also about who they are. To say this was a task is an understatement. I spoke to these 4 people within 48 hours with no knowledge of them other than through the Vero True Social app and I was blown away because they were even more amazing and kind and genuinely great people than I ever could have imagined. I want to thank Amna-El,Christine Kenyon,Jeremy Morrison,and Ellen Claire all of are whom are on Vero for taking part in this special episode.
